The Southport Corridor area is sizzling and is one of the hippest addresses to have on Chicago's north side. The area roughly runs from Belmont north to Irving Park, and from Racine west to Ashland, but the main draw of the neighborhood is clearly the bars, restaurants, and boutiques that run up Southport Avenue.

A subset of the Lake View, and once associated with Wrigleyville, the "Southport Corridor" area has really come into its own in recent years. It wasn't that long ago that it was a great neighborhood anchored by old standbys such as Justins, Cullens, Southport Lanes, the Music Box theater, and School Yard Tavern. But the neighborhood has made huge strides with the addition of new restaurants, bars, coffeeshops, upscale boutiques, and luxury homes and condos. Some have dubbed the stretch on Southport as the "Oak Street of Lakeview."
